Laila has undergone extensive advanced mediation training at Harvard Law School, JAMS (San Francisco), Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University, Stanford Law School and the Bangalore Mediation Centre. She was awarded the Weinstein Fellowship, a prestigious international fellowship for ADR professionals (2011). As a Weinstein Fellow she spent a semester as a Visiting Scholar at the Gould Institute for Conflict Resolution, Stanford Law School.
Laila has been an advocate for over 25 years in the High Court of Karnataka and Supreme Court of India. She has mediated several cases involving property disputes, contracts, matrimonial and family disputes, corporate and commercial disputes and other disputes with a very high rate of settlement. She has also co-mediated high profile cases with retired Supreme Court Judges. Laila regularly trains Judges (of the High Court and District Courts) and lawyers, nationally and internationally to become Mediators. She also conducts “Train the Trainers” workshops for The Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of the Supreme Court.
Prior to his elevation to the High Court in 2008, he was the first Director of the Bangalore Mediation Centre (BMC), As a High Court Judge, he continued this association as a Member of the Board of Governors of BMC.
He is a trained and experienced Mediator. He was selected as a Member of the Study Team to study Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), ADR Mechanisms and Mediation, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2006. Since his retirement, he has been serving as an Arbitrator and Mediator. He has successfully used his Mediation skills while facilitating parties in finding mutually acceptable settlements, sometimes even in Arbitration proceedings.
Justice Keshavnarayan practiced Civil Law in the Original and Appellate Courts at Bangalore for over 15 years before being appointed as a District and Sessions Judge in February 1993. He served as the Principal Judge of the City Civil Court.

Shantha is a highly experienced advocate and mediator. She has been in active legal practice for more than thirty five years dealing with all kinds of civil, matrimonial and company matters. She has been a mediator for seven years at the Bangalore Mediation Centre.

Preetam is a Partner at the Bangalore office of Kochhar & Co., a leading law firm in India. He started his career in a corporate law firm in Bangalore where he advised and assisted various European clients in connection with their operations and transactions in India. He has assisted clients in handling high stakes disputes including advice on litigation strategy and risk management.

Ritvik is a lawyer, entrepreneur and mediator. He began his career as a corporate Lawyer at Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai (then India’s largest firm) where he practiced till 2007. His practice focused on Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Structured Finance, Capital Markets.
Ritvik left the law firm in 2007, to start ventures that provide services to the legal domain. He is now the Co-Founder and CEO of Vahura – India’s leading Legal Search & Consulting firm. Prior to Vahura, Ritvik was one of the co-founders of Rainmaker, which pioneered training and education services to the legal domain. Ritvik has since exited Rainmaker as a co-founder, to lead Vahura as CEO and Co-Founder.

Samuel Mani is the founding partner of Mani Chengappa & Mathur. Prior to founding the firm MCM Law, Samuel was the global Head of Legal for Infosys Limited and all of its subsidiaries. He was the primary lawyer at Infosys for a large part of its growth from 700 million dollars per annum to 7 billion dollars per annum. Samuel has also served as a legal advisor to Reliance Industries Limited where he worked primarily in the telecommunications space.

Gerald is a partner with J Sagar Associates, a leading national law firm in India. Tara Ollapally is a mediator at CAMP. She is certified in Mediation from Harvard Law School, and has completed the ISBM program on Business Mediation in Admont, Austria. She is also certified in Community Mediation from the Good Shepherd Mediation Program in Philadelphia. Tara is also a lawyer committed to social change. She started her career as a human rights lawyer working with international organizations in Washington D.C, including Physicians for Human Rights, where she worked on health and human rights issues, and Global Rights, where she helped set up the India Program to increase access to justice for women.
She has also worked in the field of Immigration Law and Asylum Law with Golblum & Hess, a boutique immigration law firm in Philadelphia, where she represented corporations and individuals from around the world in meeting their immigration needs. At CAMP she is focused on establishing an effective institution that will allow people to approach dispute resolution in a creative, respectful, and efficient way that produces results. Tara is immensely excited by the scale of both business impact and social change that mediation represents, and is fully committed to establishing an institution that provides quality and effective mediation services.
Tara received her LL.M. degree from Columbia University’s School of Law, and received her B.A. and LL.B. degrees from University Law College, Bangalore.
Prashant is the founding partner of ALMT legal in Bangalore since 2003 when he helped set up the firm’s Bangalore office. Prior to his association with the Firm, he was a sole practitioner after being associated with Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe, a leading law firm for a period of seven years, initially in Mumbai and then in Bangalore.

Pras worked as Head of the Legal function for over 28 years with different organizations like Alfa Laval and Brooke Bond India Limited (now part of Hindustan Unilever). He was the Chief Legal Officer of Larsen & Toubro Limited, Mumbai for seven years. For 12 years, Pras was the General Counsel of the Aditya Birla Group, spearheading mergers and acquisitions. During his stint in Mumbai, he was the Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry and also played the role of Advisor to the Managing Committee of the Bombay Chamber.

Monu Iyappa was in-house counsel for 30 years before concluding his career as Executive Vice President – Legal with GMR Energy in 2012. Prior to that he was Global General Counsel at Satyam Computers later ‘Mahindra Satyam’ including seeing it through its turbulent transition in 2009. His other roles include those with NCR Corporation, Gillette, ITC, L&T and Vikrant Tyres. He has handled a plethora of issues in the Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering and Construction, Tobacco/ FMCG & Personal Care Products and Portable Power, IT & ITES and Infrastructure industries where he proactively settled disputes before they could reach court in areas such as debt collection, licensing software and intellectual property in domestic as well as International jurisdictions.Monu is a Honorary Fellow of The International Association of Contract and Commercial Management (www.iaccm.com) where he was on the Board of Directors for 6 years while holding the office of Vice Chair - APAC .
